Heya peeps! Not really a quickie, but is something I have been doing between linearts for the commishes -I'm doing most of the linearts back to back to then have one glorious uninterrupted coloring experience! I like to mix things up lol -

So in the meantime, I finished this Aelos since I just wanted to practice some coloring. The sketch was nothing special, it was just a sketch of a male model I had made earlier this month to design some armors. Some of you know that one of my life goals is to create the perfect elven quilting for my style (Getting close!!). And going through my sketches I got the idea. How would Aelos look in a kaldorei sentinel-like armor? I wasn't really happy with his Warcraft III design -it was half assed, to be honest [link] - so it gave me a chance to redesign him, practice my coloring and keep trying to achieve that elusive quilting-type-leather armor that I just can't seem to get right... yet!

So, why would be Aelos be wearing sentinel armor when he is a druid, AND the sentinels are an all female organization? Because I wanted to draw him in something skimpy y'all! But I did find a lore reason to justify my pervyness: During the third war, Aelos was not in the emerald dream and officially not a part of any druid organization. He was quick to join Tyrande's forces to fight the encroaching invasion of the legion when she helped the village he was living in repel an attack. As the peaceful village joined the sentinel army, they were given armor and weapons to fight the enemy. Later Aelos was assigned to Shandris forces and remained with them until the battle of mount Hyjal. His bravery in battle made him honored with the Sentinel army and Tyrande herself, earning their trust. As his relationships with the Cenarion Enclave was -stranged- he was one of the few druids to answer directly to Tyrande and the sentinel army. As such, he was one of the first chosen to teach druidism to female students -Although I like to believe that the time before it was allowed, female were all "screw this!" and just learned on their own- After the founding of Darnassus and the power struggle between the Priesthood and the Circle -which Aelos ended up caight in the crossfire- He decided to adventure the new world, in the capacity of a paid diplomat for the night elves. It was in these journey where he meet the human girl Reed.
